Local Artist Jennifer Murray to Attend Rhode Island School of Design

Westerville student accepted at the #1 art school is the country & to have local gallery showing with other students.May 1, 2011 - Westerville, Ohio | Westerville South High School Student Jennifer Murray is going to the most prestigious art school is the country -The Rhode Island School of Design. In addition to being accepted to the US News & World Reports #1 rated art school, Jennifer was also accepted to 3 more of the top 15 art schools and received approximately $250,000 in merit scholarship offers. Graduating this spring from Westerville South High School, Jennifer has been privately instructed in painting/drawing by David Myers at his studio in uptown Westerville on a weekly basis since Jennifer was 10 years old in 2003.Jennifer will be exhibiting her work, along with Mira Rathman – Worthington Kilbourne, (Ohio State) Stephanie Zimmerman - Westerville Central, (University of Dayton), and Amelia Bindofer – Westerville South (College of Wooster) at The David Myers Art Studio & Gallery on May 27th, 6:00-9:00pm. All four are private art instruction students of David’s for a combined 21+ years; Jennifer Murray – 7 ½ years, Mira Rathman – 6 years, Stephanie Zimmerman - 5 years, Amelia Bindofer – 3 years.Selected pieces will be available for sale at this event.
