The Hero Within...

A celebration of the human spirit...every year, athletes from all over Ohio experience an extraordinary weekend in Columbus for The Special Olympics Ohio Summer Games.  Many wonderful volunteers, coaches, staff and sponsors make this inspiring event happen on the Ohio State campus.  This year included an emotional tribute to Bob Rickard, former Special Olympic Ohio CEO of 37 years.  Having photographed Special Olympics (California & Ohio) since 1989 I've witnessed this incredible organization and the many lives it touches.  While this is an annual event, volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available throughout the year.    Information on how to be a part of it all:  Special Olympics Ohio
