The Legacy of Matthew Trombetta

Matthew Trombetta's legacy continues to inspire. Matthew empowered others and transformed lives. While it's been seven years since Matthew left us, his presence is as strong as ever. Weathervane Playhouse in Newark is Matthew's vision and legacy made tangible. Matthew was Weathervane's Artistic Director until his tragic passing in a head-on collision with a drunk driver in 2010, just 4 days prior to the opening of The Miracle Worker, which he directed.  The show opened on the day of his funeral.  Those who witnessed it, saw a cast, crew and creative team come together to carryout Matthew's vision with inspiring performances.  Weathervane Playhouse continues to thrive with extraordinary productions and programs.  Our world is, and continues to be, better because of Matthew Trombetta.The Dedication of The Matthew Trombetta Artistic Wing  - August 2016
